PRODUCT DESIGN
PROCESS
3D TO REALITY
Combining multiple forms of media help to bring product ideas forth into reality. In the case of ‘Iris,’ a ‘looks-like’ physical prototype was made based off of sketches to test scale and ergonomics. Next, a 3D model was created, establishing the final design direction.
3D EXPLOSION
3D allows us to explore the exactitude of how the internal components of a product can be optimized to work within the parameters of the external form. This exploded view is a great example of the versatility of a digital model. A digital 3D file can be sent straight to a manufacturer for prototyping or for a quote. It also gives potential customers or investors a good idea of what your product will realistically look like before commiting to an idea.
